System Analyst Revenue Cycle Operations

Day (United States of America) The Revenue Cycle Operations Systems Analyst, under general supervision of the Revenue Cycle Manager, serves as a liaison between end users and the email protected team while providing exemplary customer service and system support in assigned application(s).
The Revenue Cycle Operations System Analyst is responsible for providing operational system support, including system application testing, troubleshooting, and system workflow analysis.

Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1.
Participates in the preparation of the work plan for installation of new application software and system enhancements, with an emphasis on the Epic Revenue Cycle applications, as well as any add on systems being used.
2.
Acts as a liaison between Revenue Cycle Operations and the multiple email protected teams to provide bi-directional communication, facilitation, and translation of Epic system impacts and resolutions.
3.
Provides the Revenue Cycle application email protected teams with the specifics necessary for system workflow updates and changes, tests system updates, and approves changes for production environment moves.
4.
Keeps a Change Control log for all system changes and requests, and escalates questions/issues as appropriate.
Reviews the Change Control log weekly with Revenue Cycle Directors and Managers to ensure timely processing of Epic system requests.
5.
Analyzes work queues and workflows to determine trends that impede the timely and accurate billing of services and timely payment for those services.
Identifies and proposes resolutions for system issues and/or workflow enhancements to prevent these issues moving forward.
6.
Tests and troubleshoots system problems identified by various departments and hospital staff.
Determines course of action for resolution and communicates resolutions back to departments and staff.
7.
Collaborates with the managers and directors in the Revenue Cycle departments to identify areas of improvement within the revenue cycle to maximize revenue while complying with payor and regulatory guidelines.
Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and develops system/workflow strategies to keep Lahey Health in compliance with all requirements.
8.
Provides functional information to the Revenue Cycle training team to expedite updating end user proficiencies or anticipated system changes and operational workflows.
Works with training team to ensure all new workflows/system updates are documented appropriately to ensure end users are aware of all system changes pertinent to their job role.
Develops monitoring reports to track impact of changes to confirm resolution in production.
9.
Actively participates in meetings supporting Revenue Cycle system implementations and upgrades.
Providers pre- and post go-live testing and operational support for all system changes.
Fields end user questions prior to escalation to the Revenue Cycle email protected team.
10.
Achieve and maintain Epic application certification in accordance with departmental and organizational standards.
11.
Communicates with all levels of leadership as required.
Is able to compile and present data to support suggested system/operational changes in a concise and professional manner.
12.
Understands the Epic database infrastructure to determine the best Epic environment for testing purposes (i.
e.
SUP, TST, POC, etc.
) 13.
Assists with additional projects as needed per direction of department leadership.

Minimum
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent Experience required.
Licensure, Certification & Registration:
Obtain assigned application Epic Certification within 12 months of hire into position.
Experience:
At least 3 years of clinical, healthcare operations or health information technology experience.
Experience with Epic revenue cycle applications preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
