We are actively seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the MMC team!Our maintenance team members play a vital role in the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
We are currently looking for a general handy person who is skilled at a wide range of basic maintenance and repairs typically performed around the home.
Tasks include repair work in the interior and exterior of our resident's homes.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot and resolve general home improvement issues.
Troubleshoot and repair systems that are not working, replace worn parts.
Perform preventative maintenance and conduct general inspections of buildings.
Miscellaneous work such as replacing tiles, installing doors, and changing locks.
Snow removal from driveways, sidewalks, and steps.
Participate in safety meetings and adhere to programs, policies, and procedures while performing job duties.
Communicate with residents in a professional manner.
Maintain records regarding work performed and complete respective work orders.
Follow equipment operating and supply application instructions per company protocol.
Position Requirements:
Five (5) years of residential maintenance, carpentry, or construction experience.
Must be able to work under the direction of the Director of Maintenance but perform work independently.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, trustees, owners, and residents.
Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including general handyman repairs, light demo, carpentry, drywall installation, tape & plaster, painting, identifying roof and pipe leaks, basic plumbing (toilet and faucet repairs), basic electrical (replace bulbs and diagnose issues), job clean-up, masonry, roofing repair, window repair, garbage disposal, HVAC, lock installation, and operating equipment and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Move, lift, or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 70 pounds, unassisted.
Must be physically able to perform snow removal, plowing, etc.
Willingness to work outdoors including inclement weather.
Must be able to work overtime, if necessary, to assist with emergencies and snow removal.
Schedule requires one (1) week of on-call rotation (recurring every 8-10 weeks) for after-hour emergencies.
Tattoos and facial piercings cannot be visible during working hours.
Must be able to handle all client requests with diplomacy and tact.
Must be able to pass background check.
Employment
Benefits:
Pay range of $28.
00 - $38.
00 per hour commensurate with experience.
Previous experience is required.
