Our firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with a focus on Medical Malpractice.
This is a hybrid role that offers a unique blend of responsibilities, from providing counsel to healthcare professionals to representing them in court.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in medical malpractice insurance, medical malpractice defense, and medical malpractice litigation.
This position offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes cases and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to providing the highest level of service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
1.
Managing a diverse caseload of medical malpractice claims, including preparing pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial work.
2.
Providing counsel to healthcare professionals and institutions on risk management and malpractice prevention.
3.
Representing clients in court and negotiating settlements.
4.
Conducting legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
5.
Collaborating with a team of attorneys and paralegals to develop defense strategies.
6.
Maintaining client relationships and communicating case progress regularly.
7.
Participating in business development initiatives to attract new clients.
Qualifications:
1.
A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2.
A license to practice law in MA and CT.
3.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical malpractice litigation experience.
4.
Proven experience in managing a diverse case load and meeting deadlines.
5.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6.
Strong research and analytical skills.
7.
The ability to work well in a team and independently.
8.
A high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
9.
Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
