DescriptionIn support of PHS eCare-related initiatives, the Contractor's responsibilities will include general analytical activities and support of the systems and applications in the PHS Clinical Systems Integration domain. The Contractor may plan, coordinate, and participate in any work related to CDR-managed repositories, applications and services. Work will involve analytical tasks including documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, writing test plans, and testing for CDR-related efforts. Other responsibilities may include QA and production support activities. Contractor will perform other tasks as assigned by the Clinical Data Repository team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Participation in CDR work related to eCare initiatives.
- Work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks to insure completion of work assignments in accordance with established project timelines
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, write and execute test plans, maintain project documentation as required
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and accurately document all issues and work closely with CDR team members to resolve identified problems
- Perform data, system, and application testing and quality assurance
- Work with mixed project teams across many functional areas, including PHS eCare
Travel to and from Partners hospitals and other office locations may be required.
Working hours: 1st Shift
Experience:
--Documented healthcare information systems experience, including implementation or support of complex systems is Required; Analytical experience in a healthcare IS environment preferred
--Experience with clinical vendor systems, interface engines, and/or HL7 messaging a plus
Skills:
--Strong demonstrable PC skills required, including MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Expertise with MS Access, SharePoint, and Project a plus.
--With appropriate direction, ability to manage priorities and simultaneously work on multiple tasks and projects
--Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education:
Bachelor Degree required. Science, technical, or informatics degree preferred.
