TheManager of Behavioral Health Education & Staff Developmentworks directly under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Education & Staff Development and collaboratively with Clinical Leadership, Behavioral Health, CCA clinicians and other departments to develop and maintain programmatic requirements, role based competencies, strategies and processes supporting the orientation, education and professional development of Behavioral Health & HOW staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and organize a BH/HOW role. Create onboarding experience for new hires and schedules for trainings in collaboration with preceptor/team leaders.
Assist in planning, development and implementation of a Behavioral Health & HOW preceptor program that incorporates the integration and understanding of Behavioral Health in the role of case management.
Participates in the development of Behavioral Health preceptor role and contribute to the development of HOW Preceptor Roles in direct collaboration with BH and Clinical Leadership within the clinical groups to support the continued orientation of new hires as well as providing ongoing professional development opportunities for existing clinicians.
Evaluates and reinforces or teaches appropriate Behavioral Health assessment tools and the role of BH assessments in the overall treatment plan for all clinical disciplines
Teaches concepts and management around the mission, philosophy, and the team model of managing patients with complex behavioral health needs and disability, particularly with regard to the independent living philosophy and consumer directed, person-centered style of care.
Familiarizes the newly hired BH/HOW staff with behavioral health references and resources
Collaborate with BH Leadership and CCA clinicians to develop competencies for BH and HOW disciplines and establish a process with HR for ongoing evaluation of these competencies as part of performance evaluation process
Coordinate educational offerings for BH and clinical staff that will include continuing education credits whenever possible.
Provide leadership with respect to identification and dissemination of culturally and linguistically appropriate health education resources and materials for staff and members where needed.
Support care teams/preceptors when remedial help is needed for individual BH/HOW staff who may require further education for addressing these deficits (examples: managing schedule/calendar, documentation, care plan development and case management)
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure that staff are utilizing appropriate resources pertinent to their respective roles and responsibilities, i.e. eCW
Attend primary care team staff meetings and case reviews as required.
Exhibit effective, adaptive management style that promotes innovation, establishes work priorities, and helps advance CCA's mission and business objectives.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Educational Experience: Master Degree in Social Work, PSy-D or LMHC with license to practice independently in Massachusetts.
Minimum Years' Experience required: 3 years
Minimum Experience: Minimum 3 years clinical experience working with diverse populations in managing complex behavioral health and in case management.
Minimum 3 years teaching experience with members from interdisciplinary care teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and educationally diverse staff and patients.
Creativity, flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to take initiative.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and leader in a complex and fast-paced environment.
Position requires a valid driver's license and a reliable automobile to travel to and within service area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate in most respectful and professional manner
Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills
Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Power point, Excel and MS Office Suite and ability to learn new technology systems
Well-developed planning capabilities with a track record of achieving results and meeting deadlines
Ability to maintain confidential work relationships and handle confidential information with discretion
Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication, organization and problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
