Architectural Sales Representative

USG's new sustainable wallboard product line, EcoSmart, represents a revolutionary approach to the manufacturing of lightweight gypsum wallboard, significantly reducing the need for natural resources and the impact on the environment. USG's glass mat wallboard line provides enhanced performance for distinct areas of a building.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Architecture Sales Representative applies extensive product, technical, and application expertise to promote USG gypsum products. The position establishes strong relationships with the Architectural community. In addition, the position collaborates with USG's local market shared services sales team, key customers and other relevant industry influencers.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maximizes USG's growth in sales volume, gross profit and industry position, with a focus on new extensions to our wallboard product portfolio.
Proactively develops relationships with architects, designers, spec writers, owners, construction managers and general contractors to increase preference and demand for USG products and systems. Networks within the industry.
Launches and promotes target products and programs. Monitors competitive activity and strategically promotes USG's offering.
Actively tracks projects in the early design stages to influence the specification. Maintains and regularly updates in Salesforce.com a minimum number of projects where USG is/could be specified and shares the information with the field sales team.
Communicates and collaborates within the Architectural Services team and other USG departments and divisions. Supports local field sales team and distribution partners. Team play is essential with this entrepreneurial individual contributor role.
Expect approximately 30 - 50% travel from the primary territory (where the virtual/home office will be based).
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven ability to identify key decision makers and build relationships. An adept networker. Membership in at least one industry group involving periodic evening meetings will be expected.
Will need to become AIA Certified to deliver CEU presentations. LEED Accreditation preferred.
Computer proficiency required in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Salesforce.com is used daily to record and share information. Salesforce.com experience preferred.
Physical requirements include the ability to carry 30 lbs and drive a company car (valid driver's license required).
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Design, Marketing, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two years of Architectural Sales experience or Project Management experience in the industry preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
