Job Description:

Full-time Tenure Track Faculty Requirements: BHCC seeks full-time faculty who demonstrate a passion for teaching and a desire to join faculty and staff to expand and create new strategies for student success. Faculty must be experienced in teaching in learning communities or willing to become proficient in learning community pedagogy and practice once hired, as well as adept in the assessment of learning outcomes and the use of technology in the classroom. Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners. Additionally, BHCC seeks faculty who value advising students and wish to contribute fully to the life of the College. Faculty may be assigned courses at one or more of the College's locations. Applicants must have proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.

Position Description: Full Time Cybersecurity faculty in the Computer Information Technology department (CIT). Responsible for curriculum development and teaching Cybersecurity courses on both the Charlestown and Chelsea campuses.

Specific Duties:

  • Teach Courses in Cybersecurity Program

  • Participate in on-going curriculum review, assessment, development and modification.

  • Develop instructional material consistent with the course objectives and student learning outcomes and competencies.

  • Use new technologies in the classroom to supplement instruction.

  • Participate in on-going professional development.

  • Teach in different modalities such as online, hybrid, web enhanced and learning community.

  • Use problem based learning, reflective writing, Task-Based, Case-Based Learning (TBCBL), as well as classroom group/team work to develop critical thinking and other employability skills.

  • Commitment to maintaining current in the latest changes in technology and to expanding that knowledge base and incorporating it into the curriculum.


  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • Experience in Cybersecurity field

  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree

  • Industry recognized IT/Cybersecurity certifications strongly desired

  • Community College or 4-year college teaching experience

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $58,000.00-$74,000.00. Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Relocation Stipend May Be Available.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
