Creative Director

We are Shoes.com and we are looking for a Creative Director to help us share our brand of shoe crazy with the world. This Creative Director will be asked to make us think, grow, improve and laugh. We'll be counting on you to find new ways to connect and consistently deliver our brand vision to the customer. You'll report to the SVP of Brand Marketing and Creative, but work with everyone-- marketing, merchandising and site experience teams--on multiple projects while managing and growing the Creative team. You don't need an 'S' on your chest but you do need impeccable taste, flawless execution and the ability to think conceptually and strategically about branding and design. You'll help develop and drive seasonal campaigns and brand expressions that run across a variety of mediums, with primary focus on digital --mobile first design--including website, email, advertising, and social media. Not for the timid, you'll have the opportunity to make a broad impact on the organization and our business, building on our visual and voice principals to drive awareness, preference, and motivate purchase on Shoes.com, RESPONSIBILITIES:  Partner with SVP Brand Marketing and Creative to develop creative strategies and content that align with our brand initiatives and retail business. Establish and maintain the overall look and style of seasonal campaigns and regular cadence of promotions. Own and evolve our brand guidelines, insuring all communications follow them. Develop unique experiences for our different consumer segments across multiple channels. Manage, mentor, and grow the creative team of graphic designers and copywriters and guide external agency partners. Bring the Shoes.com brand to life by leading team to design original vector graphics and illustrations, motion graphics, branding, layouts, infographics, UI visuals, etc.   Optimize creative process partnering with Senior Project Manager timelines and prioritizations to ensure growing work demand is effectively managed and delivered on time from concept to execution. Create, manage, and execute concepts for seasonal photo shoots in partnership with internal team and external agencies - including hero product or on model still photography and video on set or on location. Manage creative budget for tools and staffing. Be a brand champion, educating and helping everyone in the organization act in ways that are consistent with and true to our branding and company values. QUALIFICATIONS: Have10+ years in a highly productive creative in-house studio or agency environment. Digital design chops a must. Have a passion for fashion and design. You are aware of and obsess over the latest trends in art, fashion, social media, technology, consumer goods, and retail Possess an open attitude and collaborative style, able to work easily across functional barriers. Pride yourself on superb communication skills, verbal and written, and are persuasive. Are highly creative and capable of translating designs & ensuring a seamless on-brand look across all platforms (web, tablet, mobile, apps, and print) combining voice and visual. Continuously elevate the bar, striving for excellence and attention to detail from initiation through to completion. Have expertise with design software/tools (Adobe CS, InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.) as well as photography or photo studio management Boast a strong portfolio that demonstrates success in developing digital brands and driving direct response. Understand the flexibility and limitations of HTML and CSS and can apply this knowledge when designing web pages and wireframes. Are a self-starter, self-motivated and yet a strong team-player without an ego.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
